Integrating Lineament Density in the DRASTIC Model for Better Groundwater Assessment

چکیده
Forecast of groundwater potential zones is essential, especially in areas where surface water not sufficient during the dry season, such as Tampin District, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. In literature, lineament parameter often combined with a assessment model DRASTIC model. However, most these practices do follow procedure assigning weight to used model, so many researchers assign different ranges weights parameter. Therefore, this study focuses on how systematically incorporate density map into existing based specific range specified by model; thus, inclusion more geological input will improve performance. an abbreviation for parameters model: Depth water; Recharge; Aquifer media; Soil Topography; Impact vadose zone; and Conductivity (hydraulic). The addition has successfully improved performance from 50 80% distribution 30 producing wells geology play major roles determining area.

Aquifer Vulnerability Assessment for Sustainable Groundwater Management Using DRASTIC
Groundwater management and protection has been facilitated by computational modeling of aquifer vulnerability and monitoring aquifers using groundwater sampling. The DRASTIC (Depth to water, Recharge, Aquifer media, Soil media, Topography, Impact of vadose zone media, and hydraulic Conductivity) model, an overlay and index GIS model, has been used for groundwater quality assessment because it r...
متن کاملFinding the Potential of Groundwater Contamination in Baghmalek Pain in GIS Condition through DRASTIC Model
Ground water is regarded as an important source of sweet water because it has less pollution potential and it has high reserve capacity compared with surface water. Therefore, it I necessary to prevent pollution from ground water, considering management of ground water resources in line with quantitative management of water resources. In this research the potential vulnerability of ground water...

متن کاملRisk Assessment of Groundwater Contamination: A Multilevel Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Approach Based on DRASTIC Model
Groundwater contamination is a serious threat to water supply. Risk assessment of groundwater contamination is an effective way to protect the safety of groundwater resource. Groundwater is a complex and fuzzy system with many uncertainties, which is impacted by different geological and hydrological factors. In order to deal with the uncertainty in the risk assessment of groundwater contaminati...
